Johnny Depp channels his inner cowboy at the 2012 MTV Movie Awards held at the Gibson Amphitheatre on Sunday (June 3) in Universal City, Calif.

The 48-year-old actor was honored at this year's event with the MTV Generation Award.

Johnny also took to the stage to perform live with The Black Keys. The band played two songs with Johnny – “Gold on the Ceiling” and “Lonely Boy.” Check out the video of “Gold on the Ceiling” below!
